Book GroupBook group 800x400

Book Group was set up during lockdown, meeting on Zoom on Monday evenings to discuss a Christian book together. It has continued on Zoom as this helps people to engage who cannot easily meet in person in the evenings because of childcare or other issues. Over recent months this group has not been meeting, but there are plans to have meetings a few times each year to discuss a book everyone has been reading.

Cherished

Are you retired? Unable to work due to ill health? Widowed? Spending much of your time alone?
If the answer is yes to any of these you are welcome to join us at Cherished, where you will be greeted with a warm and loving welcome, as well as a delicious tea. Cherished occurs monthly on a Monday afternoon.
For more information contact Karla or the church office.

Annexe Fridays

When the Cambourne Church Annexe was opened, the staff and council of Cambourne Church decided to reserve the space on a Friday evening for church social groups. There are currently two running, with plans in the pipeline for two more (watch this space!).

Ladies Night

All ladies (over the age of 18) connected with the church are welcome to join us on the second Friday in the month for Ladies Night! Each month has had a different theme. Previous months have included a board games night and a takeaway night (where we each bought our own takeaway and enjoyed a time of fellowship and food together).

Space 2 CreateS2C 800x400

It can be hard in our busy lives to find time to be creative – something we all are! God is the great creator and we are made in his image! Once a month, on the fourth Friday of the month at 7.45pm, we will be opening up the Annexe to anyone who wants to bring along their own creative project (papercraft, sewing, knitting…. anything!)or to try out something provided. All are welcome, though under 18s will need to come with an adult. Come for some of the time, or all of the time. Enjoy the chance to be creative and chat to others who come along.
Space 2 Create does not run in school holidays.

Planning your Visit

New to Church?

00 Welcome

Welcome! Whether you've just moved to the area, or have lived here all your life, we hope our website helps you to find out everything you want to know about our Church.

When & where does the church meet?

We hold two services in the Cambourne Church Centre on Sunday mornings, at 9.30am and at 11am. Any changes to this will be shared on our Facebook page or shown on the calendar here.

The 9.30 service is more traditional in style with the music mainly consisting of hymns played on a keyboard.
The 11am service is more contemporary in style with the music being lead by a worship team. Most of the songs are more modern than those played at the 9.30 service.

We meet at:
Cambourne Church
Jeavons Lane
Cambourne
Cambs

You can see a map on our contact us page

There is limited parking available to the rear of the church building. The postcode of the car park is CB23 6DZ.

What should I expect when I visit the church?

You will receive a very warm welcome particularly from our Welcome Team who will be able to answer your questions and direct you to where you need to go. There will be some singing to start with as well as some prayers and a reading from the bible. There will be a talk (some reflections) from one of the leaders of the church, with a chance to discuss it further at the end of the service.

Tea, coffee and biscuits are served after the service where there is plenty of time to meet new people and ask more questions.

What is there for children and young people at church?

We have a fantastic programme for the children and young people at the Church. Children and young people stay with their families at the start of the service as we worship (sing songs!) together for the first part of the morning. Someone will announce when the children and young people need to go to their programme. We have young church for those from Yr R - Yr 6 and a youth group called Xtreme for our young people in years 7-13. There is a creche in the church foyer for younger children.

Is there a dress code?

No! Please just be yourself and come dressed in your 'normal' clothes.

Will I have to join in?

Not at all!
You are free to simply observe or participate as much as feels comfortable for you.
