The Vine Inter-Church Primary School

'Opening Hearts and Minds'Vine Logo

Promoted by the Church of England and Methodist Church, The Vine School opened its doors in September 2005 as a neighbourhood school with a broadly Christian character. Debbie Higham is the Head teacher. Cambourne Church, along with the Methodist Circuit and Diocese of Ely, appoint foundation governors for the school.

It has been exciting to see the school grow to where it is today - it is now near capacity so The Vine is flourishing!

The name The Vine (taken from John 15) was chosen to speak of Christ and of the Spirit working in the school producing good fruit in the lives of the children.

We believe that this is a fantastic school and plays a significant role in the community. But don't take our word for it - let us invite you to come and see for yourself!

The following is the school prayer which is inscribed throughout the walls of the school:

This is our school
Let peace dwell here
Let its rooms be full of contentment
Let love abide here
Love of one another
Love of mankind
Love of life itself
And love of God
Let us remember
That as many hands build a house
So many hearts create a school
